Rhianna’s new album more tame than past records

Music has defined us from the very beginning of time, and the artist who have made a name for themselves in the industry of music grow ever so popular.

There are many who have peaked lists, and one defining female R&B singer of today would be Rhianna. Rhianna's new CD "LOUD," released Nov. 18, and has already begun to get responses.

The album includes the hit "Love the way you lie" a collaboration with Eminem and continues to remain on the top 100 list.

Despite the songs being stereotypical Rhianna, the album is a bit of a disappointment after her album "Rated R" and "Good Girl Gone Bad". The songs on the album are portraying a diluted collection of songs from this thriving R&B songstress.

Although they are hard edged, emphasizing her party girl attitude, they are the lesser of two evils so to speak. In other words, where "Rated R" pushed an extreme sick, twisted side and Good Girl Gone Bad pushed an extreme sexually suggestive side, "LOUD" just doesn't push the envelope as much.

It, all in all, suggests, but doesn't push. Each song on this CD brings it's own little flavor, and allows the listener to feel connected to the power in the song.

As with all Rhianna songs, there are those already beginning to make the radio and climb the charts. Of these songs there is "Love the way you lie" and "What's my name?".

Beyond these two, more of the songs on this album are beginning to emerge and catch listeners attention. Love it or hate it, the Rhianna CD "LOUD", like those before it, is becoming known to the music world, and it continues the musical legacy of the R&B songstress Rhianna.
