New Moon still packed with romance
The first Twilight movie grossed over $350 million at the Box Office. This is the second movie release based on Stephanie Meyer's novels about vampire romance.
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" was released Friday on Nov. 20, and has broken pre-sales records.
The movie has majority of the same cast along with a few new faces. The Twilight Saga: New Moon begins on Bella's (Kristin Stewart) 18th birthday who is still the main character of the film.
The vampire named Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), who she fell in love with in the first movie, throws her a party at his house and while she was opening presents she cuts herself and Edward's adopted brother Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) tries to attack her because he was astonished by her blood and has the urge to kill her.
Edward protects her from him and later on decides to end him and Bella's relationship
by moving from Forks, Wash. and not telling his location to keep Bella protected from his kind. This left her in a state of depression.
As time passed, she began having sleep terrors at night and couldn't get her mind off of Edward. Bella then begins to spend time with her neighbor Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) which gave her comfort and slowly closed the hole in her heart.
Bella had Jacob rebuild a motorcycle engine for Bella because she had noticed that as she seeks thrills, she could hear Edward's voice and see visions of him. Then she discovers that Jacob is a werewolf who kills vampires.
Later in the movie, Edward hears some news that led him to thinking that Bella was killed. So he takes off to Italy to commit suicide by provoking vampire royalty, the Volturi.
This type of vampire is capable of taking his immortal life.
Bella hears the news from Edward's sister Alice (Ashley Greene) and they flee to Italy to save him and they arrive just in time to do so.
Preceding their leaving, the Volturi told Edward that Bella has to be killed or transformed into a vampire because she's a human who knows their secret. Bella has been wanting to transform into a vampire and asked the Cullens for a family vote and they sided with her decision.
The "Twilight" fans will not be disappointed after seeing the second installment
to the series. For the fans who love romance, there is enough off it between
Edward and Bella.
And for those who are like myself, will fall in love with the action scenes. The film is way more action packed than the first one.
I'm a new fan of "Twilight" and have seen both films and enjoyed them. After seeing "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" I give it two thumbs up and five stars.
When the third installment comes out in mid 2010, I will be in line to purchase a ticket because of the suspense it left me with from the second one.
