2015 student appreciation week kicks off
This week (February 8-14) brings in numerous events to give students a break from their studies, as the spring semester gets under way for the official Student Appreciation Week, which begins with the monthly free movie night at Crystal Plaza Theater, where Lucy and the Spongebob movie will be playing.
Monday brings in a photo booth from 10am to 2pm in the Gibson Student Center, as well as the Ultimate Game Show, an interactive trivia knowledge game, at 8pm.
On Tuesday there would be Bongo and Battle Ball in the Mabee Center from 8-12am. Bongo Ball consists of a nerf gun war, while Battle Ball involves a game of soccer in which players run around in clear inflatable hamster balls.
Wednesday holds the student favorite Subway Night from 8-10pm, where students can either get a free foot long sub or 6-inch combo.
King and Queen of Hearts coronation will take place during the halftime of the men’s basketball game on Thursday night.
The first 200 students to get to Wilson Field House that night will receive a free SAW t-shirts with the slogan for this year’s SAW week: “I came, I “SAW”, I conquered.
Voting for King and Queen of Hearts will take place Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 1pm in the Gibson Student Center.
The week will wrap up with Stuff-A-Bear in Gibson Student Center on Friday from 10 am to 2pm. Students can choose from eight animals to stuff and dress.
