Places to Live Owned by OU
Desperately seeking a home
As a university that prides itself with a strong athletic department, Ottawa University has offered students the opportunity to stay close to campus in order to complete summer workouts.
Rock Creek, one of the newest campus-owned off-campus housing units, is only five minutes away from campus, and it can house up to 50 people. Ottawa University will charge students $600 for the months of June and July. Rock Creek has single-living rooms, where you are the only one residing in your “dorm” area. In that room there is a small living space and a kitchenette.
Blue Mountain Apartments are also within five minutes of campus. Blue Mountain charges $450 each month. Theses include a double room where you will have a roommate. In each apartment there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The facility also provides free laundry to tenants.
These options are rather cheap and convenient for student-athletes looking to stay in shape over the summer. Training for the athletes staying will begin June 1. If you would like to stay and train over the summer (or are obligated to because of the sport you play), you can sign up in the BAPC building where student-athletes lift and train.
