With the NFL’s 100th season finally kicking off, it means another year of watching some of the best athletes the world has ever seen. Many players coming into this season have very high expectations, but here are the top ten players to watch out for this season.

10. Jalen Ramsey

Ramsey is considered by many to be the best current cornerback in the NFL. He has already nine interceptions in just three years. Between Ramsey’s lighting fast speed, and his ability to stick to wide receivers like glue, he is a nightmare for opposing coaches.

9. Odell Beckham Jr.

The man widely regarded as  the “human highlight reel;” OBJ is an all around natural athlete and is one of the fastest players in the game. After being traded from the Giants to the Browns this year, Beckham Jr. is looking to raise his stardom even more. With promising young quarterback Baker Mayfeild throwing him the ball, Beckham Jr. could have yet another monster season.

8. Tom Brady

Tom Brady is oldest starting quarterback in the league at the age of 42. Despite being old enough to be the father of some other players, he is still an elite player. Brady is the smartest quarterback to ever play the game; he has the ability to pick any defense apart and make them look silly. As long as Brady is in the league, he will always be a top 10 player.

7. Antonio Brown

Brown had a very interesting off season. After his departure from Pittsburgh, he spent very little time with the team he was traded to: the Oakland Raiders. Many behind-the-scenes events occurred with Brown, which led to many people calling him the “drama queen” of the NFL. Despite his past with drama, one thing is for sure, the man can play. It’s almost as if Brown has glue on his hands because he never drops a pass. Brown is one of the greatest wide receivers the game has ever seen. Now with Tom Brady throwing him the ball, Brown could easily have the best season of his career.

6. Julio Jones

Julio “the Jet” Jones is one of the most unique wide receivers in the NFL.  He is known for pulling off some catches that look flat out impossible. He uses his size and speed to his advantage. Jones jumps over corners to grab the ball with his height, then takes off with his blazing speed. There is very little stopping Jones from having an incredible 2019 season.

5. Patrick Mahomes II

Last season, Patrick Mahomes II put up numbers never before seen. He threw for 50 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards. He finished off his incredible season by winning the NFL MVP award. They call this man “the bazooka” for a reason, as he has one of the strongest arms the game has ever seen. The only problem with Mahomes is his lack of experience, as this is only his third season. All eyes will be on the young quarterback this year: let’s see how he will handle the pressure.

4. Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley, the second-year running back out of Penn State, caught the attention of nearly everyone last season. In his rookie year, he rushed for 12 touchdowns and over 1,000 yards. Barkley is blessed with incredible athleticism and speed. His ability to juke out defenders while at full sprint makes him one of the most entertaining players to watch. It will be interesting to see how Barkley responds this year after putting up monster numbers in his rookie season.

3. DeAdnre Hopkins

The Houston Texans may not have very many offensive weapons, but they make up for it by possessing easily the best wide receiver in football, DeAndre Hopkins, a.k.a. “Nuk.” The game has never seen a player quite like Hopkins. The 6’1” receiver from Clemson has earned the title of the best receiver in the NFL. What separates Hopkins from the other receivers is his route running; his routes are ran so smoothly it’s like cutting butter. We can all expect Hopkins to have yet another incredible season.

2. Bobby Wagner

Bobby Wagner is the hardest hitting player currently in the NFL. Combine his hard hits with his lighting speed, and you are left with the best linebacker in football. Wagner put up very good numbers last year with the Seattle Seahawks, having 97 total solo tackles. Wagner shows no signs of slowing down, and will continue to give offensive coordinators nightmares for years to come.

1. Aaron Donald

Donald is considered the most feared player in football for a good reason. Coming in at 6’1”, 284 pounds, lining up against Donald is like lining up against a grizzly bear. Donald has incredible speed coming off the edge, and is almost impossible to stop. There is no reason why he won’t win defensive MVP this year. Donald is currently the best player in football.

There you have it; these are some of the best players in the league. Let’s see what they can do this season, and which of them will make it to the Super Bowl.
