Don’t know what bowling in Ottawa will cost you? Now you do
It pays to be prepared, especially when you’re prepared to pay.
With the highly anticipated return of bowling in Ottawa, Fusion Alley has exceeded expectations and drawn in many visitors since its opening in August. Currently, the bowling alley has 12 lanes and a makeshift snackbar, but by the end of October, everything will be open, according to management.
Going into the alley, you won’t know what the prices are without checking their website (www.fusionalleyottawa.com). Sometimes going on a company’s website can be confusing, so here is an overview of everything that can be purchased at Fusion Alley.
Bowling
-
By the Game - Weekdays
Bowling by the game is an option that you have everyday of the week, but Monday thru 5:00 p.m. on Friday, the price is $3.50 per person, per game.
-
By the Game - Weekends
Bowling per game on the weekends is just slightly more at $4.50 per person, per game. This pricing lasts from 5:00 p.m. Friday to close on Sunday night (10:00 p.m.). -
By the Hour - Weekdays
If you decide you’d like to bowl for the hour on weekdays, it will cost $17.50. This covers the cost of the whole lane and splitting the price amongst your group is an option. This pricing option is available Monday through 5:00 p.m. on Friday. -
By the Hour - Weekends
If you find yourself at Fusion Alley on the weekend, the price-per-hour is slightly more than on weekdays, coming out to $25.00 even. Once again, this is the price of the whole lane, so not everyone has to pay that price to bowl. -
Cosmic Bowling - Friday and Saturday Nights
Purchasing cosmic bowling (sometimes referred to as glow bowling) is similar to paying by the hour: there is a one-time payment of $40.00 that covers the whole lane. Cosmic bowling only happens Friday and Saturday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. -
Shoes and Socks
Shoe and sock rental is not included in any of the bowling prices . If you don’t have your own shoes, they can be rented for $3.00. You only pay for the shoes once during your visit, so if you decide that you want to add a couple more games or a few more hours, you don’t have to pay for your shoes again. Fusion Alley also offers pairs of socks for $2.00 if you forgot your own.
As previously mentioned, the bowling alley currently has a makeshift snackbar. This includes bottled drinks and easy-to-serve food, candy and condiments. The prices are the same everyday.
Snack Bar
-
Hot dog: $3.00
-
Bratwurst: $3.50
-
Nachos: $3.00
-
Chips: $1.00
-
Candy: $1.50
-
Gatorade: $3.00
-
Soda: $2.50
-
Bottled water: $2.00
-
Energy drink: $3.00
Tax is not included in any of these prices, but tax won’t put you over the edge. If you haven’t been to Fusion Alley yet, I personally recommend giving the state-of-the-art facility, at 2204 S Princeton Circle Drive, a visit. Take a friend or two! They’re open until 10:00 p.m. every night but Friday and Saturday, when they close at 12:00 a.m.
