As finals are upon us, there is less and less time to get organized and to begin studying to avoid the haven’t-slept-in-days eye twitch. But the reality is that many of us will end up waiting until the last moment. In order to make the most of your time, I have compiled a list of the most productive ways to procrastinate:

  1. Take a shower.
  2. Wash dirty laundry.
  3. Fold clean laundry.
  4. Take a run.
  5. Adopt a pet.
  6. Brush your hair.
  7. Take the pet from number five for a walk.
  8. Cook a balanced breakfast.
  9. Clean the kitchen after cooking breakfast.
  10. Attempt to feed your roommates/neighbors/pals breakfast.
  11. Make a to-do list.
  12. Pack for the trip home.
  13. Watch an entire series on Netflix within 48 hours.
  14. Clean out your closet.
  15. Look up movie times.
  16. Take a long nap (it is well deserved).
  17. Extra points if you watch a movie while accomplishing number fourteen.
  18. Start a blog.
  19. Calculate the lowest score possible you would need on the final to maintain the grade in the class.
  20.  Buy a coloring book and a pack of coloring utensils.
  21.  Sweep under any rugs in the place you reside.
  22. Write a wish list.
  23. Brainstorm topics for your new blog.
  24. Brew a pot of coffee or tea.
  25. Draft an email prompting the cancelation of finals.
  26. Rather than sending the email to the school, send to pals and hope it goes viral.
  27. Make the bed you napped in (see number sixteen).
  28. Write thank you notes to anyone who has held a door for you in the past semester.
  29. Search Pinterest for fun new crafts, recipes, make-at-home tutorials and workouts.
  30. Tweet about your new blog.
  31. Feed one of the many campus cats.
  32. Go to the library and make a quick round of high fives with the people who are actually studying.
  33. Find the matches to all your stray socks.
  34. Give a pal a back massage.
  35. Host an impromptu dance party (hello stress release).
  36. Bake a tasty treat.
  37. Have your blood pressure checked.
  38. Go grocery shopping.
  39. Search under the furniture for lost items or spare change.
  40. Take spare change to the Salvation Army donation buckets outside of Walmart.
