Seven Things You Must Bring When Traveling

If you have never experienced the airport rush or if you often forget things at home that make your traveling easier, more comfy and less expensive, here is a list of seven things you should remember.

  • An empty drinking bottle

Since customs doesn’t allow you to pass through with any beverages, bringing an empty bottle and filling it up at the water fountains after passing the checking point can save you a few bucks, considering a bottle of water at the airport is never less than three dollars.

  • Pillow or blanket

Imagine not having a sweater and wanting to fall asleep! Since the flight might be longer than two hours, there are two problems that could present: One, it would be too cold and you might end up getting sick. Two, your traveling experience would be horrible since having no sleep could make you not want to travel again. So a pillow to rest your head on or a blanket to cover yourself could be beneficial.

  • Comfortable shoes

The shoes you take could make your traveling experience great or completely bad so do not take it for granted. Tennis shoes are a better option than painful high heels, especially if your carry-on baggage is heavier than you expected.

  • Comfortable clothes

This is often ignored, but trust me, nobody at the airport cares if your tank top and shorts are cute; all they care about is making it to the plane on time and having a good seat. Therefore, if you want to be comfortable, you can wear anything from sweaters and pants to even shorts and T-shirts. At the end, as long as you are comfortable, nothing else should really matter.

  • Headphones or ear plugs

The noise of the airplane can be a big headache; bringing headphones to listen to music or ear plugs to lower the intensity of the sound is way more comfortable than hearing the same noise for a long time.

  • A portable charger and a phone charger

If the airplane does not have a plug to connect the cable charger, then a portable charger comes in clutch when your phone’s battery is about to die.

  • Tissues

Imagine nonstop sneezing, having a plugged nose, not having any tissues to unplug it with and the two restrooms in the plane being used: This would be horrible, right? Having a small pack of tissues can be a life-saving strategy, especially if your flight is a longer one.

So there you have it, these seven things might not be all the items you could bring, but they are the main ones that can make a flight from "worst experience ever" to "comfortable traveling."
