Christmas Shopping on a Budget
Figuring out what to get friends and family for Christmas is often the easy part of shopping, but making sure you have the funds for everything becomes tricky for college students. Luckily, there are tons of stores with great deals to help you score the perfect gifts for every person you plan to buy for.
Bath and Body Works
Bath and Body Works offers a great “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” deal on fragrances, lotions, body creams, shower gels and body butter. This deal also includes “Buy 2, Get 1 Free.” Plus they have scents for both men and women.
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Dick’s offers some amazing deals if you are shopping for your dad, brother, uncle or even your boyfriend. The have sweatshirts, hoodies and sweatpants for less than $20.Select pairs of shoes are 50% off, plus buy one, get one on socks!
Walmart
Walmart has their 20 days of deals going on until December 20. They have discounts on select items from makeup, toys and home decor to electronics.
Target
Target offers great deals on home decor and furniture if you are looking for a gift for mom. You can also find amazing deals on clothing for women and children.
Of course those are all great in-store deals, but store deals do change based on where you live. There are many online shopping centers that have continuous deals without the month of December. Here are the two I use the most because they don’t cost as much as their competitors.
Amazon
If you don’t want to deal with going in and out of stores, you can always find great sales online. Amazon offers deals up to 70% percent off and free shipping.
Etsy
Etsy is always a good place to go when wanting to shop cheap. They have creative and unique ideas that everyone will love, plus personalized gifts you can make yourself.
Remember to double-check the dates of the sales, as some stores continue their sales until the end of December and some don’t. Check for online coupons as well, many stores will send them out in emails or have a pop up ad on their website.
