Non-stop
It’s hard to decide how to feel when you pay for a movie that is almost entirely filmed within a plane. You think, what all can happen on a plane? You don’t know what to expect. But after seeing Non-stop, I can tell you that A LOT can happen on a plane. Especially a hijacked plane.
Liam Neeson plays Bill Marks, a burned-out alcoholic air marshal. His day starts off like any other one—drinking, tired, and alone. Once everyone is aboard the non-stop flight from New York to London and the plane is airborne, Marks starts receiving a series of mysterious text messages that put his fellow passengers at risk. The person threatens him by telling him that they will kill someone every 20 minutes until $150 million is transferred into an offshore account.
Marks is completely confused and has no idea who is sending out these messages. He tries to stay calm as he attempts to figure this mystery out. But the calmness does not last.
Chaos quickly arises as people continue to die. Everyone on the plane starts to think that Marks is the one hijacking the plane because the so-called account number belongs to him. They’re all afraid of him when all he’s trying to do is help and save everyone on the plane. Videos are being taken of him and put on the Internet and soon enough, the plane is on the news. They refer to Marks as an alcoholic man who doesn’t have a clear conscious nor knows what he’s doing.
But, that doesn’t stop him from figuring it out. He knows the truth and won’t let hundreds of people die because of this. He doesn’t give up and still has a few people on his side.
The text messages continue to come. After continuous investigation, Marks finds out that there is a bomb on the plane and the person sending the text messages has started the timer. All sense of order and calmness has been lost.
Marks finds himself in the middle of a deadly game on a short play clock. The more he tries to get to the heart of the matter, the more he sinks deeper into a carefully orchestrated scheme that could cost the lives of all his passengers. He has to find the hijackers, stop them, and clear his name before the flight lands. Can he do it? You will have to find out yourself.
This movie keeps you lingering and on the edge of your seat the entire time. It’s definitely a thriller and if you haven’t seen it, well I don’t want to be the one to give the ending away. It’s mind blowing and you’ll never see it coming.
Non-stop is still playing in theaters and will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 10 of 2014.
