Get Fit in a Sip
The city of Ottawa is moving in a direction of constant self-development, with new additions popping up left and right. Not only are the facilities at Ottawa University regularly improving, Main Street is also advancing businesses, with the newest one being Arrowhead Nutrition.
Located on the north side of town off Main and First, Arrowhead is the talk of campus as well as the town. Serving both protein shakes and coffees, they also have clean energy teas with many healthy additional add-ins. Arrowhead first opened its doors July 21, and the amount of support from both locals, as well as Ottawa University students, has been astronomical. Such support comes from athletes from the university, hard-working associate members from the hospital as well as community members wanting to better their eating habits.
Sarah Culie, owner of Arrowhead Nutrition, shares how the services provided in her products stand out compared to competitors.
“All of our teas are thermogenic, so you will burn calories just by drinking them,” she says. “We put aloe in all of our teas that is soothing to your digestive tract. The protein shakes are all soy-based to be friendly for a lot of stomach issues. Along with offering vegan options (there are) numerous amounts of one-of-a-kind flavors for every product in store.”
Another way Arrowhead Nutrition shines bright is by allowing all customers to see how all products are made. Customers can come behind the bar to watch the process themselves, as well as offering a cheaper option of buying the products that are used in-store to be used at their own homes.
One of the reasons Arrowhead Nutrition has been so successful this last month is by already making an impact in the community, proven by how many people are now recurring customers.
One returning customer is Mykenna Hadl, a faculty member at Ottawa University.
“Not only are the people of Arrowhead Nutrition great, but the shakes and teas are too! I was lucky enough to win the ‘30 Shakes Giveaway’ and I have yet to try a shake I don’t like. They’re yummy and also have great nutritional value,” she says.
Kaymyn Brane, a student from Ottawa University, also only has good things to say about her own personal experiences at the business.
“The environment as a whole is why I keep going back to Arrowhead. But I can’t forget the delicious and nutritious drinks. My favorite being the mocha iced coffee, which has so much protein it keeps me going throughout my day.”
Arrowhead Nutrition proves that new business additions add value to the community and Ottawa students.
