Summer Fun
As the school year ends, summer is approaching at a rapid pace. Between finals and moving out for the semester, summer can sneak up on you. Due to Ottawa University starting school in early August, summer can not come fast enough for students and professors. There are so many fun things to do in the summer and still be COVID-safe.
Water is one of the main promises of summer for cooling down, and there are many different bodies of water to explore. The beach is always somewhere fun to visit during summer vacation, to surf, build sandcastles and just relax on the sand. The lake can also be fun; tubing, swimming and fishing are activities that your friends and family can all enjoy. Lastly, the river is a great place to spend time. You can go floating, swim, fish and camp, which is always a fun time.
Parks are another great way to spend time this summer. Theme parks offer riding on roller coasters, eating funnel cakes and playing carnival-like games. State parks are also a wonderful way to get active this summer while doing something fun. You can hike, have a picnic or just relax and look at the pretty landscape. Dog parks are fun all year round, but especially in the summer.
Friends and family are the most important part of summertime fun. It’s an opportunity to hang out with the people you love and not think about school. In the end, college students do not have many summers left without any responsibility, so have a good time and live yours to the fullest.
