The top 5 Christmas movies

It’s finally December, which means it’s time to gather around the fireplace, get your popcorn and hot cocoa ready and watch some Christmas movies with your loved ones. I’m going to breakdown the top five best Christmas movies you should be watching this holiday season. 

5. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

This movie is on the list simply because of the comedy factor. It seems like in every scene someone if falling through the ceiling or setting something on fire. This movie's plot is a classic case of everything going wrong. The harder the Griswolds try, the worse the day gets. “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is a must watch this holiday season. 

    4. The Santa Clause 

“The Santa Clause” is a Christmas classic. It stars Tim Allen, who does a fantastic job in this film. “The Santa Clause” is filled with great comedy and many heart warming elements. The jokes are just as good for adults as they are for the kids.
The Santa Clause” should be a movie you watch every Christmas, as it captures the Christmas feeling perfectly. 

    3. The Polar Express

When most of us think of our childhood and the Christmas movies we watched, “The Polar Express” is one that always comes to mind. The film is based on the very popular book and has Tom Hanks as a leading vocalist. “The Polar Express” delivers some beautiful scenes that can make anyone smile; this is an overall heart warming film and it is considered a classic.

“Home Alone” provides one of the most memorable storylines in movie history. Filled with great characters and jokes that hit the same every year, “Home Alone” should always be a movie you turn on during the holidays. There is a reason why this movie is still popular after almost 30 years.

There is no question that “The Grinch” takes the crown for the best christmas movie of all time. There is just something about watching the cartoon Grinch stealing Christmas that puts all of us in the spirit. There are currently three versions of “the Grinch,” all of which are fantastic. But no Christmas movie will ever top the old school Grinch. This is definitely the number one movie you should be watching this Christmas.
