If you have a BOO, then SPOOKY season is for you!
October is almost over, but you still have time to do all the fun activities you’re seeing on your Instagram feed. Now go get a Pumpkin Spice latte and put on your favorite flannel because it’s time to get spooky.
-
Pumpkin Patches
Going to a pumpkin patch is always a good time. Most of them have many activities for you to do, such as going on a hayride, venture through a corn maze, pick out some pumpkins to take home and more. They’re also a great place to take pictures in order to contribute to your own Instagram feed, like Schaake’s Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence, Kan.

Carve Pumpkins
You are never too old to carve pumpkins. There are so many things you can do with your pumpkin: you can carve them, paint them, make them look scary or even make them cute. Get creative with your pumpkin and you can compete against your friends to see who can create the best pumpkin. After all, there is a carving contest on campus this week; you just have to have your pumpkin in the caf by 10:00 a.m. on Halloween.

Haunted Houses
Going to a haunted house is, in my opinion, one of the best things to do during Halloween. The thrill of not knowing what is coming next or what is going to scare you is what makes haunted houses so fun. If you go with a group of friends, it makes it even better. If you’re up for a drive, Kansas City has a wide selection of haunted houses.
-
Movie Marathon
If you are a big movie watcher, Halloween movies are one of the best genres there is. There are so many to watch and vary from animated to gore. Netflix and Hulu both have a Halloween movie category full of the essential movies needed in order to have a proper Halloween movie marathon.
-
Baking cookies
Considering most of the kids in college are broke, Walmart has some of the best Halloween cookies. The best (and easiest) ones to make are the Pillsbury Ready to Bake cookies. They come with 2 different designs for you to choose from, a ghost and a pumpkin. Plus, they’re only in the oven for like ten minutes, so you don’t have to wait long to eat them.
-
Spooky Baskets
Spooky baskets are a fun and cheap thing to make for your significant other or even your friends. All you need is a Halloween themed basket, some candy, fuzzy socks and some of your friends or significant others favorite things. It’s simple and has meaning behind it.
Valentine’s Day isn’t the only holiday made for doing cute things with your significant other or your friends, so take advantage of the last week of October and have fun with some of these activities.
