Fall Sports Preview

Chilled weather, leaves falling off the trees and the start of fall sports are signs that students are back at Ottawa University.

The fall season is one of the most eventful and busiest times of the year. For students, the fall means you can catch game after game from a variety of different teams throughout the week.

Sports like Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Football and Cross Country are outdoors sports students particularly enjoy attending, especially on a nice-weather day. Women’s Volleyball on the other side, is the sport that no matter what the weather might be, people will be there, since you can find them indoors at the Wilson Field House.

In previous years, fall sports have showcased success in their respective sports. For example, in the 2016 season, Women’s Soccer made history by attending Nationals for the first time ever. Equally as impressive, the Lady Braves Women’s Volleyball team made it to the third round of Nationals in their notable conference championship season.

With so much historic success, these sports strive to surpass their previous records in this present 2017 season. Fall sports schedules are out, and although some sports have already had their opening matches, there are others that are soon to set the stage.
