Ten Reasons Dogs Are The Best Company
-
They are always happy to see you.
Have you ever come home after a long day to a dog eating your food without asking or telling you to take out the trash? Odds are you haven’t because all a dog cares about is that you are finally home to pet it and love it.
-
Dog cuddles win every time.
Dogs have one mission in life: making their human happy. So snuggling up with a pup is a win-win.
-
They have the prettiest smiles.
Passing by sleep-deprived, hung-over, stressed-out, and overall grumpy faced peers can get old, but seeing a pup’s pearly whites can make it all better.
-
Dogs make excellent adventure pals.
It is no secret that dogs have an unbelievable store of energy, which makes them the perfect candidate for a walk, jog, run, hike or adventure of any kind. Dogs would never tell you they would rather stay in and watch more Netflix.
-
They help to prepare you for parenthood.
A dog is a huge responsibility, as well as a huge joy . . . Much like a child.
-
Dogs are the best confidantes.
They can sense when you need to talk and will give you the puppy-dog eyes until you spill. A dog will never tell your secrets, like the one time you ate your roommate’s leftover sushi and blamed another roommate. On the same note, they cannot judge you out loud, which is a total bonus.
-
They will watch whatever movie you pick.
There is no wagering or compromising when it comes to watching a movie with a furry friend. Thriller? Rom-Com? Action? Nicholas Sparks? You name it, they’ll love it.
-
You can teach them cool tricks.
Have you ever successfully taught a human friend to roll over and shake your hand on command in exchange for a meat-flavored cookie? I don’t think so.
-
Dogs are living space heaters.
Much like their personalities, dogs are always warm. They can make the most unbearable of the cold months manageable with their fluffy, furry fabulousness. -
They are loyal through and through.
Dogs do not care what you got on your bio-chem exam last week, the last time you did laundry, what you are wearing or how many times you have gone to Taco Bell this week. If you show them love, they will return it tenfold for as long as they live.
