Ottawa’s Pizza Options

Everyone loves pizza, and even in the small town of Ottawa, KS, there are plenty of pizza options. National delivery brands such as Papa John's and Pizza Hut bring some recognizable flavor to Ottawa. The more popular options are the local businesses, such as Pizza Time and Pizza Village. Luigi’s pizza on Main Street also offers an excellent taste of Italy with delicious varieties. 

Papa John’s is not the best Ottawa has to offer, but they offer a reliable taste in a short waiting time. Generally, Papa John’s carryout orders take about 15 minutes to complete. Papa John’s best choice is the Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. The combination of barbeque sauce in lieu of traditional tomato sauce mixed with diced pineapples makes this pizza very tasty.

Pizza Hut is the other national delivery brand in town. Like Papa John’s, the Pizza Hut hangs its hat on its delivery service along with an in-depth menu featuring many variations on numerous pizzas. Pizza Hut’s original pan-crust chicken bacon parmesan pizza offers one of their best options. The crust flaked with sprinkles of parmesan cheese is the capper on this one.

Pizza Time is arguably Ottawa’s most popular pizza place, especially among OU students. The friendly service and atmosphere are the things that make it such a popular place, considering its pizza is very good as well. Their pepperoni is a solid choice if you are going there for the first time. While their pizza appears to not have much of a crust, they offer many tasty toppings to fill your gut before you reach the lacking crust.

Pizza Village is also located on Main Street and it has very good pizza. Like the previously mentioned options, Pizza Village offers delivery service but not until 5 p.m. They are also closed on Sundays. Pizza Village has creative names for their pizzas such as The Dennis Special, Village Volcano and The Waffle. Their creation, The Cyclone, is another mouthwatering chicken-and-bacon pizza that is piled high with banana peppers.

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant’s is unquestionably the premier taste of the town. The cheese pizza at Luigi’s has an authentic bold crust at the end of a thin slice. With a light but hearty cheese selection, this is the kind of pizza that the creators of the dish long ago envisioned. Luigi’s offers it up in a grand dining style: seated at tables covered in satin cloth and served with customary garlic bread. Luigi’s creates a unique and delightful dining experience.
