Muncel Jones is involved in various avtivities around campus, but acting is his true passion. He will be involved in the Lawrence Community Theater’s upcoming play titled ‘Club Morocco.’

Muncel Jones can be seen all around OU’s campus in his many activities—choir, acting, cheering and being a member of Black Student Union (BSU.)

He seems to do it all and still makes it to class on time.

“Muncel is an overall good person; I can’t say anything bad about him,” Meghan Caldwell, sophomore education major, said.

But how did he become so talented in the arts? As a kid, Muncel discovered he had a talent for singing and dreamed of becoming a professional singer; little did he know he was gifted with other talents.

He discovered his other talent when he performed in his first show, “School House Rock,” at Oakville Senior High; this is when he noticed acting was the other talent he was gifted with.

A short amount of time after this show, OU held auditions at his school, he went to the audition and got the part and OU awarded him with a musical scholarship.

Muncel earned his first leading role as a sophomore. After his performance, he felt this leading role came natural to him and this is when he fell in love with acting and decided to pursue it as a professional career.
