A Poem: The Stress Of College

The stress of college is insane.

The stress of college is expected.

The stress of college is family pressure.

The stress of college is not letting anyone down.

The stress of college is wondering if you are in the right spot.

The stress of college is wondering if you are doing the right things.

The stress of college is wondering if you are meeting the right people.

The stress of college is wondering if you are using your time wisely.

The stress of college is not knowing.

The stress of college is knowing you are not knowing, and knowing there is nothing to remedy the know-nothingness.

The stress of college is paying for college.

The stress of college is paying for information you can find at the search of a browser.

The stress of college is working part-time jobs to pay for a life you may not reach.

The stress of college is finding out you are the rat in the rat race, unable to leave the maze.

The stress of college is a wonderful stress.

The stress of college allows us to grow in ways we did not know we can.

The stress of college churns the productivity in us to work harder than we ever have.

The stress of college forces you to leave the nest, searching for answers you cannot find in the search bar of a browser.

The stress of college motivates all of us to look in the mirror and continue to work harder.

The stress of college drives the world forward.

The stress of college matures us, molds us, and forces us to grow into a more complete version of who we will become.

Do you really think the stress gets any easier from here?

The stress of life laughs at the stress of college.

Stress less or stress-less?

As you enter the maze, "The American Dream," you will soon learn there is no such thing.
