Are you looking for a place to grow your faith while getting the chance to make lots of new friends? If the answer is yes, then attending FCA is perfect for you!

As a student-athlete myself, I understand how stressful it can be at times when you are slammed with homework on top of practices and games. This is why it is so important to take time from your busy schedule to relax and work toward creating a stronger connection with your faith. I had the pleasure of getting the opportunity to ask a few questions to the leader of FCA, Joe Corbin. Here is what he had to say about FCA:

What can students expect from attending an FCA meeting?

“When you attend an FCA meeting, you will find a diverse group of students meeting in the name of Jesus to enjoy fellowship with one another under the common thread of faith in God. But don't be deceived, Fellowship of Christian Athletes is not an exclusive social club for ‘super religious’ athletes, FCA is open to everyone. Whether you're an athlete, a non-athlete, a Christian or someone who is just curious about faith, FCA is intended to be both a starting point for people who want to see what Jesus is all about and a group of people who meet regularly to encourage one another in the faith. Each meeting starts with a quick intro then a message from the Word of God, followed by prayer and a game or activity for those who want to stick around and hangout.”

What important values do you think students can take away from FCA?

“Ultimately, the idea behind fellowship is the development of relationships through the lens of God's love and His Word. So, our fellowship will help grow our relationship with God and others as we demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Service, Teamwork and Excellence.”

When and where can students attend FCA meetings?

“During the winter months, FCA will meet in the Zook Conference Room at 9:05 p.m. Although, when the weather is nice we are out at the firepit at the same time.”
