Summer Jobs in Ottawa

With how many students are now renting in Ottawa and the surrounding areas, there has to be a way to maintain some cash flow for rent money. With that being said, students are staying over the summer and we all know what that means: a summer job. 

 

Ottawa has many jobs that students can apply for, they just have to know where to look. 

 

Here are some summer jobs that can help you maintain paying your bills on time and avoid seeing an eviction notice taped to your front door. 

 

  1. Orscheln Farm and Home – Sales Clerk
    Orscheln is an equal opportunity employer looking to hire full and part time employees with flexible schedules. Job tasks would include cleaning, cashiering, assembling products, assisting customers and much more.

  1. Walmart Distribution Center – Warehouse Associate
    The Walmart Distribution Center is looking to hire warehouse associates that are key parts to the movement of production throughout the warehouse. This is a physically demanding position that requires freight handling in a timely manner.

  2. UPS – Package Handler

UPS is an equal opportunity employer that is seeking more package handlers at their Ottawa warehouse. UPS offers tuition assistance to students at an approved college, university, trade or technical school in amounts up to $25,000. If deemed eligible, this opportunity will become available on the first day of employment with UPS.

  1. Fuel Expresso 17 – Convenience Store Clerk
    This is a fast-paced environment where job duties include cashiering, stocking and cleaning to maintain a good store appearance. They are looking for full and part time employees that will receive weekly pay.

  2. Amazon – Picker Packer
    This position is in New Century, Kan. with hourly pay starting at $15.30. Available shifts are overnights, early mornings, days, evenings and weekends. As an Amazon employee, you will sort out larger and heavier packages before they head out for delivery.
