After an intense battle for rushing league leader last year, this season is proving to be just as intense. Many new and young running backs have made a name for themselves, as well as some veterans proving to stay consistent. Who is at the top of the NFL rushing list? Read below to find out.
3. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Kansas City Chiefs)
In only his second year in the NFL, the young running back out of LSU has managed to secure the spot for third current best running back. He is sitting at 572 yards on the season and has yet to see a team with a solution to stop him. The future is very bright for this young man in Kansas City.
2. Dalvin Cook (Minnesota Vikings)
Dalvin Cook is easily the fastest running back in the NFL. Combine his blazing speed with his ability to pull off deadly jukes and cuts, it is easy to see why he is amongst the best in the league. With Cook in the backfield, the Vikings are a dangerous offense.
1. Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans)
Not many running backs possess both incredible speed and strength, but luckily for Derrick Henry, he doesn’t fall into that category. Coming off a monster season in 2019, Henry is proving that he should once again be named the best running back in the National Football League. With Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill having a great year as well, the Titans offense is looking better than ever.
It is going to be interesting to see if these rankings change throughout the rest of the season. Hard to imagine there will not be changes, but if these guys continue to stay consistent, there will be a lot of questions surrounding the MVP race.
