Everyone and their mothers know that college is expensive. Luckily, starving college students can receive a discount at clothing stores, insurance companies, phone companies and fast food restaurants — all you have to do is show your valid college ID. Here are 23 places for you to take advantage of that discount:

  1. Banana Republic — 15% off.
Check out Banana Republic to fool your professors into thinking you have your life together by wearing something other than a 2XL shirt and a pair of shorts.

  2. Charolette Russe – 10% off.
Ladies, at some point, a date is going to come up. Pick up a cute new sundress or romper for a discount — just in case.

  3. Kate Spade – 15% off.
Need a nice gift for a birthday or Christmas? Why not treat mom or your sister to a new Kate Spade bag?

  4. Express – 15% off.
Interviews are a part of growing up. Express is there to offer you 15% off to help you dress the part.

  5. Forever 21 — 10% off.
If you’ve been dying for a leather jacket that looks cute from the front but says “Tacos Rule” on the back, this is your place.

  6. Levi’s – 15% off.
Guys, jeans and boots are a girl’s weakness. You’re welcome.

  7. Geico — 15% off with a B average.
When they said that 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance, they really weren’t lying.

  8. Esurance — 15% off with a B average
For insurance in the modern world, you’re gonna need that discount.

  9. All state — 20% off with a B average.
You’ll be in extra good hands with 20% off.

  10.  State Farm — 25% off with a B average.
Jake from a State Farm will help you save money now so you can buy some khakis later.

  11. T-Mobile — 10% off.
Not only do they include Netflix in your phone plan, they also give you 10% off.

  12. Fed Ex — 20-30% off, depending on the package.

Avoid ads and limited skips for just $5 with Apple Music. Worth it.

  19. Waffle House — 10% off.
    Good food fast and cheap.

  20. Chick-Fil-A — free drink.
They may be closed on Sundays, but that’s about the only disappointing thing about Chick-Fil-A.

  21. Qdoba — $5 burrito meal.
They haven’t given anyone salmonella yet and they offer a meal for $5? Obviously better than Chipotle.

  22. Burger King – -10% off.
One of the only places in Ottawa that stays open 24/7 now hooks you up with a 10% discount on whatever you’re craving at 3 a.m.

  23. Subway –10% off.
A “$5 foot long” might actually cost $5 now.

So next time your roommate asks you if you want to grab dinner off campus, suggest somewhere in Ottawa like Subway, McDonald’s or Dairy Queen to snag a discount and save some money.
