How could the United States of America be the richest of all countries and be the only one not providing universal health care?
Have you ever wondered why the United States of America is the only industrialized nation that doesn’t have a universal health care system? Do you think the United States of America, the so called home of the free, can survive if they provide universal health care for their citizens?
I am one who believes that America indeed can make it with a universal health care system. If other countries and even developing countries can implement universal health care with less money, I know we can do the same because we also have the resources.
Having a universal health care system there can be so many great benefits. People wouldn’t have to be hesitant on doctor visits for check ups because of deductibles and co-pays. If we had a universal health care system I think that people would rush to get checked on if they had suspicious feelings about their bodies.
The reason I believe the United States doesn’t have a universal health care system is because they are a for profit country.
With such a selfish trait this country holds, it will cause many more people to suffer from life threatening situations all due to if you have health care or not.
If a person is in medical need or whatever and don’t have health insurance or can’t afford to pay for a life saving surgery, I think they shouldn’t be turned away or denied. But in America, emergency treatment is not free and if you can’t pay for it then you will not be helped.
Not helping the person will only make their problems worse leaving them with no one to turn to, and they will eventually die.
The life expectancy in the United States is shorter than 27 other countries. Canadians live three years longer than Americans. In America there is an estimated 18,000 people who die each year because they do not have health insurance.
I think we could have saved those lives if we weren’t so concerned about putting more profits in our pockets.
Not being able to achieve a functional universal health care system in the United States would be a terrible shame. The United States has the most expensive health care in the world and doesn’t offer great services to live up to the price we have to pay to be insured. Industrialized health care is not for people but for profit. ?
